Meh.
Pappa Charlie's never disappoints!
Classic American sandwich shoppe.
Cool themed sandwich shop. geared at the Williams college crowd and pricyDOES NOT TAKE CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS
Guy that took our order came off as rude and very overwhelmed. Almost like it was a burden for us to be ordering more sandwiches. I ordered the chicken Parm and it was pretty low quality. Chicken was very chewy and was not breaded well. My friends enjoyed their sandwiches however. Overall, the tone that was set by the man taking our orders made me not want to sit down and eat here again. Hope we just caught him at a bad time.
Wide and quirky selection of sandwiches. Includes several good vegetarian sandwiches and other options. Love the chik'n reuben!
Amazing selection and very reasonable prices. Always pick up here before heading out of town.
Classic Williamstown experience! Remember to bring cash.
My go to place on Spring Street, good prices
Excellent INGREDIENTS ARE FRESH AND PREPARATION BEYOND COMPARE.
Great selection of handmade sandwiches. I recommend sitting outside in the summer and watching the squirrels.
I went for breakfast and was met with a cold and unwelcoming lady at the front. She was very reluctant to answer questions. Compared to other stores on springstreet, their service is terrible. To Pappa Charlie's, take note from your neighbors.
Love this place. Everyone is so welcoming & the food is delicious. My husband had a wonderful gazpacho & liked it so much that he ordered a double portion to take home. Thanks Pappa Charlie's!
Great spot, extensive sandwich menu. Quick service.
Great choices, fast service
Great sandwiches - large enough and stuffed enough for 2 meals.
Good food fast service
Good breakfasts, but something expensive
My wife and I stopped in on Fathers day. Her sandwich was good, but I had a Chicken Parm on a bagel. Worst piece of chicken I have ever had. 100% grizzle. I'm not a critical guy but very disappointed. I hope the owner take a look at this so others don't experience the same thing.
A sandwich shop with a diverse menu of sandwiches named after famous people.
Strangepork FTW.
The sandwiches here are amazing! They have a massive selection of sandwiches named after famous people. Every time I stop in I try a new one and I haven't been disappointed yet.
Great sandwiches. Fair prices
Home away from home!
Great deli sandwiches named after famous Broadway and movie stars
Sandwiches are okay, great prices. Order was taken down wrong, but would return again to try a different sandwich for the low price.
JUST OK
Food is good, prices have been getting worse. They are usually not staffed appropriately a toasted sandwich called in takes roughly 45 minutes
Great sandwich spot! Old school deli style!
Greek salads are very generous, lots of feta! You will be overwhelmed by the menu options on salads and sandwiches. No lack of creativity at this fine establishment. Great value for the price! You will come back to try new things and relish old favorites!
Unique Sanwich names. Unfriendly service. Mediocre food. Bread crumbs in tuna?
It's a pretty standard deli/sandwich shop that is pretty popular among college students. Most people find their food to be pretty good and a welcome break from the normal dining hall fare, but their menu is pretty awful for vegans. That being said, their prices are fair and their location is convenient.
Papa Charlie's is a venerable spot replete with sandwiches for almost every actor who has ever been at the Williamstown Playhouse. That said, the place, which once upon a time was the go-to lunch spot, has become tired. Especially noticeable was the dirty windows that looked like they hadn't been squeegeed in weeks if not longer. The place demands a serious makeover. The traffic this Sunday was down the block with all manner of tony eateries and coffee shops prospering in a crisp, clean ambiance.
Great local college town gathering place ... creative sandwiches.
Slow but goid
Wow, the food was amazing. Quick service, friendly staff.
Great spot for a quick sandwich stop! There are A LOT of sandwiches to choose from, including breakfast sandwiches (served all day). There is a nice spot to eat outside, as well. The meatball sub was delicious!
Great food! Sometimes service is a little slow but that can't be helped. Once I got chili and the outer part was hot but the inner part was still very cold.
Great hole in the wall. Excellent sandwiches at very reasonable price
Terrible experience, worsened by mediocre food. Place was crowded and had to wait in line to pick up my pre-ordered sandwich. Only about 4 or 5 vegetarian options (that an actual vegetarian would eat) and so I ordered one with fake chicken, thinking it was safest.Get the sandwich to my car and attempt to open it. Pickle juice drips all over and onto my work clothes. Sandwich was cut in half in such a way that when I opened the paper, it practically fell out onto me. Sandwich was floppy/difficult to eat. Most of the shredded lettuce (really? shredded? no romaine or actual leaf lettuce?) and sprouts fell out as I ate. And to top it off, the "chicken" in the sandwich was just what appeared to be a Morningstar Farms breaded chik'n patty. Which, which good, was NOT what I was expecting/hoping for. The sandwich was therefore dry. Actual vegetarians should be consulted when vegetarian options are put on the menu.I will not be eating here again, nor will I suggest it to others.
Great sandwiches.
My wife and I ate at this deli yesterday, it was terrible. The sandwiches were advertised as having hot roast beef and melted cheese, they had neither. They were both tasteless, testifying to the cheap cold cuts they use. Avoid it, it's a waste of your money and lunch break.
This mom and pop family spot for the the last 40 years has broke legs on stage so to speak meaning they had great food and product!I went in today and egg was burnt brown, bagel was old and stale, asked for cheddar was given American! This is a classic case of a new owner with no restaurant experience and it shows. We all know CC companies charge owners a small amount but customers need the convience to use the plastic in our wallets ! We pay too .We dont want to use an arm to take money and get charged. College students our banks went in the Berkshires o.o percent of the people in Williamstown are passing threw! We need the option to use plastic or cash because customers will go somewhere else to purchase food! There isnt a line out the door for a reason! And there used to be! Good luckThe Deli called Papa Charlie's
Generally good. You can only pay in cash.
Nice deli.
